Hyeonseok Yoo, a graduate student in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences under the supervision of Professor Yeongjun Lee, received the Best Poster Award at the International Conference on Flexible and Printed Electronics (ICFPE 2026).

He presented his research entitled “Conducting Polymer-based Transparent Electrodes with Tunable Work Function for Intrinsically Stretchable Light Emitting Diodes.” The study developed conducting polymer-based transparent electrodes with tunable work functions and enhanced electrical and mechanical properties through functional additive engineering and applied them as anodes and cathodes for intrinsically stretchable light-emitting devices.

The developed electrodes maintain high electrical conductivity and optical transparency while exhibiting mechanical stability under deformation. This work provides a foundation for stretchable optoelectronic devices that can conform to mechanical deformation while providing stable optical signaling, with potential applications in wearable bioelectronics, real-time visual feedback, and human–machine interfaces.
